It is my pleasure and honor to celebrate 20 years of being a full time Yoga Teacher in the South Sound area, including Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Key Center, Tacoma, Grapeview, Fircrest, University Place & Lakewood.

I would like to send out a sincere Thank You to all who have attended my classes.  It has been a joy to meet you and share the amazing practice of Yoga with you.

It is my passion to teach Yoga in a way that is easy to follow, non competitive and incorporates all the benefits that yoga has to offer.

I have developed a way of teaching that assists and optimizes all the systems in the body, including muscles & joints as well as creates a sense of well being by reducing stress and worry.

Many people have remarked that when they leave class they feel like they have "just had a massage".

Whether you have been in my classes for years or you are just beginning your Yoga journey....I Thank You and Appreciate You....Diane

         I started with you right after the article in the Gig Harbor featuring  you and your Yoga Classes.
        I had lost most of my balance capabilities from Radiation treatments for Breast Cancer - your classes  brought it back. I  continued with you feeling your classes brought an overall feeling of energy and peace, until you left for your Center Street Bldg and held your classes at a conflicting time with my volunteering at SJMC Gift Shop.   I was glad to find you back in Gig Harbor a couple of sessions ago. You continue to be the same wonderful teacher as the years go by.     Again Congratulations on your Awesome 20 years of teaching Heart and Soul Yoga!

Classes are specifically designed with emphasis on the poses that are particularly beneficial for graceful aging and gentle healing.

All classes in this series are designed to reduce stress, renew your energy and relieve tension from your back, neck, shoulders and hips. 

Your continued practice of Yoga will improve your balance,

in your body, mind and spirit.

Diane DeMars has been teaching Yoga for 20 years.  Classes are non-competitive and easy to follow instructions are given.  Each person is encouraged to proceed at their own pace.  No yoga experience necessary. All level of fitness are welcome.  En-Joy!

Chair Yoga is a wonderful way for  to experience the relaxation and increased
flexibility that yoga brings. Many health benefits are seen with regular practice of yoga, and now everyone can participate, even if they cannot get down onto the floor.Each class includes gentle, slow motion movements and stretches for nearly every muscle and joint in your body (from head to toe). The muscle movements will help restore or maintain your flexibility and range of motion. Most of the movements will be done seated in a chair.  We may also do a few poses standing by your chair. Each person is encouraged to proceed at his/her own pace.

This class is for you.  Class is open to all levels of fitness and all exercises are modified to fit your needs and can be done in a chair.

Restorative Yoga Workshop

Enjoy all the benefits of Restorative Yoga at this One Day Workshop in Gig Harbor. We will use blocks, bolsters and blankets for support so we can hold the poses longer, which will allow your body to open through passive stretching.

Restorative Yoga is an incredible system to heal the body by helping to “kick in” the relaxation response.  It balances the nervous system and optimizes energy flow to the organs, as well as assisting immune function and enhancing the process of digestion. Basically this series will set the whole body up for deep healing, growth and repair.

Restorative yoga is typically known as a “yummy practice” the “luxurious practice”, the one you do every now and then because you need a treat, like having a massage.

Saturday June 20 - 11:00 to 5:00 pm

Lunch from 1:00 to 2:30 (bring your lunch and go to a nearby park or explore Gig Harbor and enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant)

Cost:  $80 – includes handouts for your home practice.

Restorative Yoga Workshop
Although I would argue that ‘workshop’ is not the correct name for this session of prop-filled yoga, camaraderie and laughter, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a day of total stress relief.

Diane’s yoga classes always are relaxing, and this restorative yoga workshop is an indulgence that won’t leave you feeling guilty about investing in yourself. You are guaranteed to feel better – body, mind and soul.
